Taking a journey to Narnia
 
Elena Maeurer, Brandon Fuller and Bailey Burgess perform as the Unicorn, and Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, in the Sam Bass Community Theatre’s production of the “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” which began recently and will continue each weekend until Aug. 14.
Members of the Youth Guild of the Sam Bass Community Theatre hope to take audience members figuratively to the fictional town of Narnia as they perform their version of C.S. Lewis' classic "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." The show began last week and will continue through Saturday, Aug. 14.

April cop shooting nets new charges
A Williamson County grand jury has returned a pair of felony indictments against Kenneth Wade Davis, the Round Rock man who was the focus of a two-day manhunt in April after allegedly shooting a police officer and a female civilian.

A stop at Dell Diamond this week is among the plans these artists have in store for Takin' Texas
The "Takin' Texas" Tour comes to Williamson County featuring a band with a half-Spanish/half-English name, another band known by a Hispanic surname and a Latin roots musician known to sing in Spanish. A late addition to the tour was a country musician who has become a favorite of honky-tonks.
